What MaskPX does
MaskPX edits images on your device, including covering, pixelating or blurring areas and adding text, shapes and watermarks. You choose the images and when to export or share. The current app has no account system, advertising, analytics service or automatic image upload to the publisher. MaskPX does not sell your images or use them to train a model.
Local files and settings
MaskPX reads selected images to render edits. It may keep app-private original copies, image names, dimensions, photo-origin references, thumbnails, editing instructions, watermark text or logo images, export files and publication status. Original copies can still contain the sensitive details you later cover in an export. Language and app preferences are saved locally. Styles that you explicitly save as watermark presets are retained locally for reuse, including a separate copy of an image used by an image preset.
Android supports saved editable works and their associated source assets and thumbnails. The current iOS version keeps recent-image copies where available; it does not provide the same editable-work archive as Android. Temporary image copies and rendering or sharing files may also be created. These files are not made public by saving them inside MaskPX.
Photo access and export
The system picker lets you choose images. A cloud-backed photo provider may download your chosen image under that provider’s own rules. Saving creates a new flattened PNG and does not overwrite the selected original. The export pipeline is designed to omit the original image’s EXIF and location metadata; visible sensitive details must still be checked by you.
On iOS, photo-library permission can be requested when saving so MaskPX can try to place the new image in the source album. Where that is unavailable, the app may save to system Recents with the available permission. iOS stores a local photo identifier mapped to an opaque token in this device’s Keychain for this routing purpose. Android uses system photo selection; Android 9 and earlier may request storage write permission for gallery saving. You can change permissions in device settings; declining access can prevent the related action.
Sharing and other services
Only when you choose a share action does MaskPX provide the exported file to the system share sheet or selected destination. A recipient app, photo library, cloud-photo sync or backup service may then store or transmit that copy under its own settings and policy. MaskPX cannot recall copies that you have saved or shared. Platform diagnostics and distribution services are governed by your platform settings and their providers’ policies. No separate advertising or analytics SDK is configured by MaskPX.
Retention, deletion and backup
On Android, deleting a work or using Settings > Clear local works removes the relevant work records and eligible app-owned source assets and thumbnails. Files with uncertain ownership or in use may be retained; the app reports incomplete cleanup. This action does not clear every MaskPX file: exports, independently saved watermark presets, preferences, legacy recent-image copies and system-gallery or shared copies have separate lifetimes. Turning off recent-work retention does not erase existing works. Delete saved watermark presets separately using their management controls.
Recent-image copies and their origin mappings are managed separately by the recent-image list. Export files can remain in the app’s Documents storage for viewing, sharing or save retries. Interrupted export parts and some temporary snapshots are cleaned up where safe; there is no promise that all temporary files disappear immediately. Removing the app normally removes its private files, subject to platform behavior. iOS Keychain origin identifiers can survive uninstall and are reconciled when the app next has a reliable local inventory; they contain references, not image pixels. Delete copies in the photo library, backups or recipient apps separately.
The Android app disables platform app-data backup and supplies cloud-backup and device-transfer exclusion rules, subject to operating-system and device implementation. On iOS, the recent-image directory is excluded from backup and origin Keychain entries use a device-only accessibility class. Other app files and preferences, including exports, are not all explicitly excluded from iOS backup and may be included under your system settings. Photos you save to your library may be synchronized by your photo service. MaskPX does not operate a cloud storage service for these files.
Your choices and contact
You can choose which images to import, remove local items using the available controls, change photo permissions, and decide whether to save or share an export. The publisher cannot retrieve or remotely delete image files that only exist on your device. For privacy questions, use the contact above. If you email support outside the app, your email provider and the publisher will receive what you send; avoid including sensitive originals unless necessary.
If you contact support, the developer receives your email address, message and any attachments, device details or app version you voluntarily provide through Gmail, solely to answer questions, resolve issues, provide necessary follow-up and meet applicable legal obligations. The developer and Google as the email service provider process correspondence under their service and privacy rules, potentially outside your country or region. We retain it only as needed to handle the request, necessary follow-up or legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it when no longer needed. You may request access, correction or deletion of information you supplied by emailing feijilbj@gmail.com; if a legal obligation requires retaining some information, we will explain why. Policy website
The MaskPX policy and support website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Visiting it involves technical request data such as your IP address, request time, requested URL and browser or device information, processed by Cloudflare to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare operates a global network, so processing may take place outside your country or region; its retention and processing follow its applicable service and privacy rules. We have not added analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, forms or account features to this website. Policy changes
The policy bundled with your installed version remains readable offline. Material changes to the app’s data handling will require an updated policy and any additional notice or permission required by applicable rules. The effective date identifies the applicable revision.
